Hove Girls U14 travelled to Hastings for a joint training session and match.

With a mix of new and experienced players, the session provided both clubs with an excellent opportunity to support and stretch all participants.

Following small, conditioned games designed to develop passing skills, the players benefiting from strong numbers were able to focus on both forward-specific skills and back play. The session concluded with a mixed match, allowing both clubs to test key groupings, including back-row units and centre–half-back combinations.

Coaches were particularly impressed by the quality of the forward pod work, the level of support play throughout the session, and several strong rucking displays during the match.

As the largest girls’ squad in Sussex, Hove are keen to support the development of other clubs, working collaboratively to strengthen opportunities for players and contribute to the continued growth of girls’ rugby across the county.
