Hove RFC U16 girls vs Seaford / Hastings RFC U16 girls

Hove U16 girls delivered a superb performance against a physical Seaford/Hastings outfit, combining strong organisation, relentless tackling, and blistering pace.

From the outset, Hove’s attacking structure was outstanding. Quick passing, excellent support play, slick offloads and a hunger to generally keep the tempo high, showcased the very best of our girls’ talents. Big carries by both the forwards and the centres ensured that our girls were constantly on the front foot. At the same time, the girls showed fantastic defensive resilience when Seaford/Hastings approached our try line with Hove shutting down their advances with discipline and determination.

On the wing Thea was electric—her speed and agility constantly threatened the opposition’s defence. Her performance summed up Hove’s energetic and confident style of play. She was rightly awarded coaches’ player of the day.

In a fine display of rugby spirit, Ava and Iris joined Seaford/Hastings for the last quarter to try and balance the sides. Both played brilliantly, showing great skill, commitment, and sportsmanship that earned the admiration of everyone watching. Iris won the players’ player of the day.

Overall, Hove’s blend of structure, teamwork, and enthusiasm made for an exciting match that truly reflected the best values of the game.

Final score: Hove 54 - Seaford / Hastings 0
