Meet the new president of Hove RFC
The Executive Committee of the club have elected Lez Hood as club president. Lez has roots that run deep at Hove, for 40 years he's been a player, committee member, supporter, member of 'The Friends of Hove' and sponsor. His focus is expanding and helping facilitate the "One Club" ethos bought in by Chairs James and Dean.
What sets Lez apart is a genuinely progressive, forward-thinking outlook, he's a passionate advocate for equality and inclusion across the club, determined to make sure every section, from juniors to seniors, women's to men's, feels equally valued and heard. We look forward to having Lez step into this role, and take the time to recognise the hard work and dedication that past president Adam has put in to the club.
A message from Lez
"It's an honour to be elected by the Exec Committee as Hove RFC's new President, and a huge thank you to Adam for the sterling work he put in during his time in the role. I'm excited to take this on, and I believe I've got the experience and know-how to do it justice.

My history with this club runs deep: from 1986/7 through to the 2009/10s I played for and captained the twos and the Beef, turned out for the firsts whenever needed, sat on the old oversight committee, was a Friend of Hove, sponsored a shirt through Hood Brothers, and played on the old club pitches at Hove Park.
These days I'm a Vice President and a Grand Club member, and you'll still find me at matches and lunches, supporting the club whenever I can.
Looking ahead, I want to open up oversight to more voices, bringing in feedback and input from our junior and women's section representatives, and from right across the club, to give the Exec real, rounded support. I'm especially keen to connect with fellow VPs and former players and rally them to get more involved again.
I also want to breathe new life into the honours process, so we properly recognise the members and volunteers whose hard work makes Hove the One Club it is. Above all, I want to be your ambassador, out there championing everything this club does."
