Womens Vets Section:
Daniella K
Daniella was sidelined through injury at the back end of last year through the summer. She has come back to rugby the last month full of enthusiasm for the game again - 100% attendance for the month!
Womens Section:
Bella May
Bella has recently joined the squad and has been excellent in our first 2 games of the season. She has been staying behind at training to get in additional practice and continues to improve and make her mark on the team.
Mens Section :
Toby Brown
His work rate around the park has been that of someone like Richie Macaw. He has led for the front and shown real maturity and leadership of the pitch
Colts Section:
Dylan McC
A powerful player who has shown true potential in pre season and was the coaches man of the match against Brighton a few weeks back. Dylan will be a valuable asset to us in the back line and we look forward to him help bring success to the team.
U18 Girls Section:
Aimee N.
Has attended every training session, including travelling to Pulborough. Excellent in first game of season with safe hands and some strong runs.
U16 Boys Section:
Fin B
X
U16’s Girls Section:
Erin McC
Erin regularly attends training, works hard. Has picked up the new structures well and developed new skills in the lineout. She also had a great game at the weekend, carrying strongly, rucking well and supporting her team all over the pitch
U15 Boys Section:
Josh G
Josh has demonstrated a great blend of technique and skill alongside hard work and a determination to keep improving. He trains week in week out, and never gives anything but 100%+ every session. He’s a player that everyone trusts, intelligent in his communication and understands his role for the squad, and is willing to play across both our teams without fuss. And therefore was consistently a first name mentioned from many coaches in discussions for this award.
U14 Boys Section:
Victor B
Victor has clearly worked on his fitness and strength over the summer, and has started this season with a bang. High intensity every session. We’re looking forward to seeing what this season brings for him!
U14 Girls Section:
Sophie Br
Always early, always working hard, and never afraid of a challenge, Sophie listens, learns, and applies everything she takes on board. She has embraced the responsibility of fly-half with maturity and intelligence, made more impressive by the fact she is the youngest in the group, in some cases by nearly two years.
U13 Boys Section:
Enzo Y
Great start to the season with 4 tries versus Hammersmith and tackled like a trooper too. Great trainer and looking set for a breakout season with the increased pitch size at U13
U12 Boys Section:
Willem McC
Willem's attitude to training has been brilliant at the start of the season and this is shown in how well he is playing. Big tackles, getting back into position quickly and communicating well with his team mates.
U12 Girls Section:
Poppy S
Poppy has really shown a great attitude towards training, working hard and taking on board all the advice and coaching she has received. This has then shown through in the way she has put it into practice on the picth. Great start to the season. Well done. Poppy has shown a fantastic attitude towards training so far this season. She has listened to instructions, worked hard, and shown great skills in practice games.
U11 Boys Section:
Frank P
Turns up to every session with a great attitude and willingness to learn. Happy to get involved with the physical stuff but also developing his passing and skills too. Keep it up, Frank!
U10’s Mixed Section:
Jude No
He is smaller in stature, but he has really increased his bravery & now is fully committed in the tackle. He's also hard working & well behaved. Committed to tackling. Loves to run with the ball and reads the game really well. Enjoys rugby. 😃
🏆 WINNER! U9’s Section: Edie M
As we move into contact for the first time, Edie is one of only two young women regularly turning up for training in our squad. She runs straight, hard, with both hands on the ball and never backs out of initiating contact. Add the RWC2025 final into the mix for this month and Edie represents everything that is rugby and Hove RFC!
U8’s
U5/6 Section:
Queenie M
Queenie turns up every week with a smile, great enthusiasm, and a fantastic attitude. She’s also done an excellent job encouraging friends to give rugby a try and get involved with the Hove community.
