For their second competitive outing this season, and first league game, Hove U12 girls travelled to Uckfield for face a combined UckHeath team.

For several of the girls it was their first experience of league rugby and the learning curve was steep. A physical and well-drilled UckHeath team dominated the first half, but Hove upped their intensity in the second half and showed much more confidence in the ruck and tackle, leading to their first try of the match. Although UckHeath won the match, the Hove girls showed determination and resilience that will stand them in good stead for the rest of the season.
The Hove girls voted Poppy P as the best communicator in the match and Skye as the best tackler. Ellie was voted for by UckHeath as their player of the match.
