2 U18 Girls selected for England Pathway!

Updated: Oct 7

Two of our exceptionally talented Hove U18s have been selected for the Sussex PDG programme, one of the first steps in the England Rugby Player Pathway. Both players epitomise the values of the game and have grown into their games over the last few years throughout their time at Hove.

Lucia has shown absolutely incredible strength and power in her rugby and has been selected for PDG once again. Not only does she play for Hove and ACE rugby at Newman College but has previously been selected to play Ireland U18s (and already scoring international tries) - something we can only imagine will be on the cards again for our wrecking ball back row.

Kim is a talented young prop with both strength and silky skills in only her third year of playing. A first year U18 who hasn’t missed a beat, either here at Hove or playing ACE rugby at Newman College, where she became the first homegrown Trailfinders scholar from the school into the College.

We are also extremely proud of our players who went out to trial for the programme, it shows incredible courage and resilience to put yourself out there. Please don’t be discouraged and remember that Lark Atkin-Davies didn’t get into her regional programme and is now a World Cup Winning Red Rose.
