A Christmas sign off from Chair & Vice Chair

It’s hard to believe we’re already at Christmas, and what a busy and rewarding start to the 2025/26 season it’s been here at Hove RFC.

Dean and I have been truly inspired by the energy, camaraderie and community spirit that’s grown through every training session, matchday and event this season. From our Minis and Youth teams planting the seeds of lifelong rugby journeys, to the Senior squads almost doubling over the months, there’s a strong sense of momentum across the club.

On the pitch, we’ve seen some fantastic performances and results right across the age groups. Our youth teams continue to impress with resilience and skill. Outings like the U12s at Friday Night Lights Super League (who also brought in our first league trophy of the year), the amazing strength of our girl's section, and successes of teams who have moved up to Surrey leagues to ensure worthy competition, continue to move the club forward.

Special mention to the brilliant Women's 1st XV who sit top of the league at the half way point. The newly formed 2nd XV also continues to grow with superb performances.

We've seen tremendous change and improvement across the Men's section, sending out 3 teams on multiple occasions and Mens 2nd XV currently 2nd in their league are fantastic achievements.

We would like to wish all our Hove Rugby Club members a very happy Christmas and a fantastic festive break. We’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who makes this club what it is, our players and members, volunteers, coaches, team managers, committee, kitchen team, and bar staff. Your time, energy, and commitment are what keep Hove Rugby Club thriving.

It’s been a brilliant season so far, and we’re really excited to see what the second half of the season brings in the New Year.

We’re also looking forward to seeing everyone on New Year’s Day for the annual Hangover Trophy, where once again we’ll be raising money for the incredible Sussex Martlets Hospice.

Enjoy the celebrations, stay safe, and we’ll see you soon at the club.
