Womens Vets Section:

Nicole Kemble!

Consistent, reliable, competitive… and occasionally dressed in a rush! Fresh off the train from London every Tuesday evening, Nicole somehow makes it to training no matter what—occasionally with her kit on back to front, inside out, or both… but crucially, she makes it! A fantastic teammate player and a great presence on and off the pitch - well deserved, Nicole!

Womens Section:

Elisha Simmons

Elisha has been outstanding throughout March, earning her place as our Women’s Rugby Player of the Month. She has shown incredible commitment while also balancing university rugby alongside her contributions at Hove. Week after week, she has been one of the standout players on the pitch, consistently delivering when it matters most. From crucial tackles to perfectly timed turnovers, Elisha has stepped up in key moments and led from the front, setting the standard for those around her. Her determination, resilience, and impact on the team have made her a truly deserving of player of the month

Mens Section : Dan Shotton

Alex Milne

After taking a break due to mental health, Alex has come back into the fold with the most fantastic attitude and is really driving the standards. I’m excited to see how the next months plays out for this young talent. Also a Special mention to Jack Moore who’s attitude is also driving standards

U18 Girl:

Lottie Worthley

Lottie has been dedicated and strong throughout the season, playing different positions and being a real glue player keeping our girls together this season. Lottie turns up to train, play and represent at every opportunity and put in a big shift in the recent Hove U18s game at home.

U16 Boys Section:

Dan Crooks

Dan has had an amazing month playing for the Hawks in the QF of the Quins Cup and playing out of position for the Harriers in 3 fantastic wins. Well done Dan a great month!

🏆 Club Winner : U16 Girls Section : Lucy Sharma 🏆

Lucy Sharma

Lucy gives her all throughout the season as a captain, player and kicker. Not only turning up early on game days to do the extras, but Lucy has made a difference to the club community as a whole when she refereed our girls only pitch at the U9/U10 minis festival.

U15 Boys Section:

Matthew Clarke

Matthew has had a really strong 2nd half of the season, taking a genuine leadership position in whatever team is asked to play and combining skill, hard work and decision making ensuring his team are always on the front foot and playing quick heads up rugby. This is a just reward for all his efforts..

U14 Girls Section:

Charlotte Cronin

An unsung hero both in training and on the field of play, Charlotte across the season has really put in the hard work. Her defensive game has improved massively to complement her attacking skills and positional awareness. She will also without hesitation get into a ruck to protect the ball for her teammates – a great example for the other players in the team. Incredibly coachable she has really developed her core skills – keep it going Charlotte!!!

U13 Boys Section:

Isaac Leaf

Isaac continues to be a fantastic member of the U13 squad. He’s a great trainer, tenacious tackler and powerful ball carrier. He brings a great attitude to training and positivity to the playing group. He’s capped a great March with 2 tries against Edenbridge in the final fixture of the month.

U12 Girls Section:

Amélie Ward

Come rain or shine, hot or cold, Amélie is there — fully committed, fully focused, and always giving everything she has. Whether we’re playing at home or travelling away, she shows up ready to work, ready to learn, and ready to lift the team. This season, Amélie has truly grown into her leadership role, and over recent weeks that growth has been impossible to miss. She motivates her teammates with passionate huddles, encourages them through tough moments, and helps everyone reset and push on. She’s the glue of the squad, making sure every player — Year 6 or Year 7 — feels valued, included, and united.

To show such maturity and leadership at her age is remarkable. On the pitch, Amélie’s game management stands out. She reads situations brilliantly, dictates the tempo, and creates opportunities for others with her awareness and decision‑making. She’s versatile too, stepping into multiple positions whenever the team needs her, always putting the collective first. A selfless, intelligent, and reliable player, she has grown in both confidence and ability throughout the year. With many opposition coaches commenting on this too throughout the year. Amélie embodies everything you want in a teammate and a young leader.

U12 Boys Section:

Rafe Donald

Rafe has been a standout player in the Reds team this month. They recently beat Eastbourne at home to finish undefeated this year and top of Pool C, meaning they are now promoted to Pool B for the start of next season. Rafe made a switch from playing in the backs to the forwards and rose to the challenge - getting stuck in at rucks and making important tackles.

U11 Section:

Charlie K

Charlie has put in a number of great performances across this month’s festivals. Operating in the wide channels, he has shown his elusive running, beating defenders and finishing with an impressive number of tries. His commitment in defence has also been great to see, with his strong and reliable tackling helping to shut down opposition attacks. A true threat at both ends of the pitch!

U10 Section:

Rowan Jone

This month has been a tough month to select a player of the month as we’ve had a few contenders to choose from. Rowan has had a great season, as well as a great month. We have been away at festivals and all his hard work at training has paid off. He’s led the team by example and really stood out - helping in attack as well as in defence. Well done Rowan

U9 & U10 Tigers Section:

Ianna F

Since joining the Tigers Ianna has been getting stuck into every session she's attended, showing great listening skills and focus practising the core rugby skills, all while keeping a smile on her face! Ianna is already showing some good passing and ball carrying abilities, growing in confidence with every session. Keep up the great work Ianna!

U9 Section:

Jacob Head

In a month full of festivals Jacob has been one of the stand out players. He is fearless and above all else he listens! All of a sudden everything seems to have clicked for Jacob. He has been with us for a good few seasons and we have seen him grow from a shy little boy to someone we can rely on to put 100% in at every training session and festival. He was the only choice for all us coaches and has made us proud. Well done Jacob!

U7 Section:

The coaches kids

The ‘coaches’ kids’ deserve a special mention this month. Week in, week out, they turn up—often under a bit of duress!—and give it their all. They’re frequently expected to do that little bit more and set the standard for others, which they do without fuss or complaint. Despite this, they’re rarely recognised, as it can seem ‘unfair’ to single them out. This month, after back to back tournaments, it feels only right to acknowledge their commitment, resilience, and the example they set for the whole team. Well done Nye, Finley, Aiden, Jack, Teddy & Ben. We ❤️ you.

U5/6 Section:

Dawson Fenwick

He’s there every single week, always listening, getting fully involved, and constantly encouraging the rest of the team. You can really see his skills and game awareness coming on week by week. On top of that, he stepped up this week to help clean all the kit, which says a lot about his attitude and commitment.
