Huge minis festival comes to Hove

On Sunday 1st March, Hove U9s and U10s proudly hosted their Minis Festival at the club, with the event generously sponsored by ALIGNE. A tremendous amount of preparation and hard work went into organising the day, and despite the weather not being on our side, the festival proved to be a huge success. Attendance exceeded all expectations, with 18 clubs joining us, including a fantastic effort from Jersey, who flew over to take part. In total, we welcomed 21 teams in the Under 9s age group and an impressive 35 teams in the Under 10s. With so many players and supporters in attendance, the ground understandably took some impact; however, plans are already in place to carry out remedial work as soon as the dry weather arrives. Thank you to everyone for your continued support in making the day such a memorable occasion.

First ever U9-U12 Girls only games at Hove minis, proved huge success!

For the first time in ours, and in Sussex, history we hosted two girls only pitches at our U9 & U10 Festival this month. The event was an absolute success for Hove, and for other local clubs. Parents were commenting on seeing their girls at their most confident and muddiest! Special thanks go to super referee Victoire and our two volunteers from the Girls Section, Lexi and Lucy who all gave up their morning and braved the weather to make sure this went ahead without any issues.
