I hope you’re enjoying the season so far. Our performances on the pitch remain outstanding, and there’s a real sense of positivity around the club.
Off the pitch, we've just submitted our Club Safeguarding Audit to the RFU. This is an extremely important activity, as I'm sure you can all appreciate, and huge amount of work goes into completing it. Thank you to all who have contributed, including the dozens of volunteers who got their DBS checks completed in a timely manner. Special thanks to Martina for coordinating and all your efforts in this space. If you need your identification verified for your DBS check, Dean is around to do this on Sunday mornings at the club.

You'll also see a couple of new noticeboards appear in the foyer, the entrance board will be filled with member news and what's on at the club, while the one next to the office will be specifically designated to safeguarding, with all relevant contacts available to see.
The men's Autumn Internationals commence on 1st November, and all matches through the series will be shown at the club.
Even if you're not involved in playing, please do come and watch the games, friends and family are always welcome too. A reminder that the Hove RFC lottery is now live. The club gets £6 from every £10 entry and everyone who signs up gets free membership to The Gourmet Society so please sign up and good luck!
Lastly, our first senior double header is coming up on 22nd November. It's one of those rare occasions where we get to showcase fantastic rugby from both women's and men's 1st XV teams on the same day. Instead of our usual club lunch, we're hosting a breakfast brunch buffet at 11am before the Women kick off at 12:30pm, with the men's game coming straight afterwards at 2pm. Tickets for this are selling fast, book yours here, and visit our Club Lunch page on our website for more details of the brunch and all future club lunches.
I'm looking forward as I know you all are, to a month of exciting rugby, and events at Hove.
