The Hove RFC U14 boys’ team hit the ground running this week — quite literally — as they returned for their first training session of the season with a fitness session on Hove Beach.
Swapping the rugby pitch for sand and sea air, the lads pushed through a series of challenging drills designed to build strength, stamina, and teamwork. From sprints across the shoreline to bodyweight exercises, the session tested both fitness and determination — setting the tone for an exciting season ahead.
Coach Rob praised the squad’s effort and energy:"The boys worked incredibly hard today. Starting on the beach adds that extra element of challenge, and they rose to it brilliantly. It's great to see the boys take real responsibility for their own fitness, Devine & Rocco go to the gym regularly, Noah doing his 5k's and Jimmy training for a junior triathlon. This season is going to be a fantastic one for the boys. Keep it up lads!"
With plenty of hard work, commitment, and team spirit on display, the U14s are shaping up for a strong year of rugby. Next stop: back on the training pitch and preparing for their first matches of the season.
Go Hove! 🏉💪
