Hove Vixens (Women’s Vets) vs Crowborough
What a game! A cracker as always against Crowborough.

Wild weather conditions couldn’t dampen the spirit or effort from either side.
Despite a 4–0 early deficit, the Hove Vixens staged an incredible comeback effort in wild and windy/rainy conditions. The final scoreline of 5–4 to Crowborough reflects the spirit, determination, and improvement shown by the Vixens throughout the match.
Crowborough came out strong, running in four tries. But the Vixens refused to be discouraged. Exemplary sportsmanship too as several Vixens volunteered to make up Crowborough’s numbers. The sportsmanship on display was as impressive as the rugby.
As the match progressed, the Vixens found their rhythm. Defensive organisation tightened, the attacking lines straightened, and the momentum began to swing. Fantastic tries from Nathalie, Emma, and Veevee brought the score back to 5–3 with ten minutes to play.
In the closing moments, the Vixens dug deep once more, crossing the line to narrow the gap to 5–4 at the final whistle.
Coach Rosey and Jimmy provided their usual blend of guidance, calm, and encouragement!
A huge shout-out to Chris, who stepped in as referee at the last minute and did a fantastic job.
And finally, the atmosphere: warm, supportive, competitive, and genuinely enjoyable — a brilliant fixture played in great spirit by both teams.
