Hove Hawks 5 v Pontyclun 36

This was a game against a well drilled top side who have to venture outside their own country to get competitive games. For the majority of the match the Hawks were in the game with the score 5-12 at half time and the momentum swinging slightly Hoves way.

Hawks created more chances and unlike our opponents who were clinical never capitalised on the many visits into Pontycluns 22.

The referee and Pontycluns coaches conceded the score wasn’t a fair reflection of the match but Pontyclun were deserved winners.

The boys will learn a lot from a good team and take that into next weeks match, the final game for Hove Hawks in the Surrey leagues against Farnham at Home. KO likely to be in the afternoon.
